So I've been diligently writing Lapdancing 05 nonstop for the last week and a half. I'm up to about 28 pages on Literotica, LOL, and still have her adventures for Friday and Saturday to write. Almost done with Jen/Diamond's Thursday evening, and although I knew where I wanted it to take me, some parts come alive by themselves.
The story is growing bigger and bigger. I've added at least 4 sections that I never even planned, which is why it is growing. Originally she was only having 2 photo-sessions...now she has 3! I did not plan on her physical examination getting sexual, but...well, it seemed to happen. Then she had a board meeting...and oops, where did her clothes go!
Scenes like this--that just come out of me as I write the story--are not uncommon, but for so many to come out into one chapter is atypical.
This is going to be LONG chapter. Unfortunately, there's no logical place to break it up so it's going to be one HUMONGOUS chapter. My guess is it will cap out around 35 pages...ouch.
But after writing so much, today the words came, but I just didn't have much heart into it. I was hoping to finish writing the first draft of the whole chapter this weekend, but it looks like it will be delayed until at least next weekend. Going to take a day or two from writing to get my groove back. I'm not stuck on a part, so it's not writer's block, I know exactly what is going to happen for each day, but I need to have some "zing" back into me to write it.

And this is why I don't post partial chapters...
So as I was sitting at work today I was thinking about what I was going to write in Lapdancing 05 and realized there was one thing I needed to mention early in the story that I had forgotten to write.
That's the first reason I don't release "partial chapters." It's bad enough when I think of some great twist to a story and already have chapters posted where it would be better to mention there, and instead have to go to great pains to somehow work it into the story. To release a "partial" chapter and suddenly realize you missed something is even more painful. Hence why I mentioned I would be willing to split Lapdancing 05 into two parts, but both parts would be posted together.
It was such a small thing, just mentioning a physical examination Diamond had to have performed. The primary reason I felt it to be in the story was to stop some of the "unprotected sex is bad" and "she's a fucking whore, hope she gets AIDS and dies" type posts I sometimes get. You all may not see them because if they are not comments that are valid criticisms, I usually delete them...or they are sent to me in private. My Annie series is FULL of those types of comments.
Yes unprotected sex with multiple partners is risky. Yes, STD's and HIV/AIDS are possible and even deadly and something to be avoided, particularly with partners you do not know.
My replies to those types of comments are THIS IS FANTASY. This is FICTION. Nowhere have I ever stated anything I write is REAL beyond it being real in my mind when I write it, LOL.
Anyways, that's sort of ranting, so back to my point.
I forgot on Tuesday in the story Jen/Diamond was going to have an examination in order to mention everybody at DSA is tested for diseases and such and although Charles DeWight III is a manipulator, murderer, exploiter, etc., he runs a clean shop in terms of the people who are part of the DSA adult entertainment. I wanted that in the back of the reader's mind knowing even though Diamond may end up having sex with multiple partners, the chance of her getting any STD is going to be low.
It's more of my own personal preference for unprotected sex in my stories. Although condoms are a necessity at times, I don't find them sexy for a story.
As I started writing what was only a single paragraph, I began to wonder whether women actually get aroused during an exam. And that led to more writing :)
Diamond's examination is now three pages (MS Word, not Literotica pages) long, LOL...so you can imagine where my thoughts led me!
If I had posted the very first half of the story and given into the cries for "post what you have now!", that little gem would never have been written, would never have even come to light as I would have just left it be as it was.
This is not the first time something like this has happened. Lapdancing 04 was only a few pages long before I thought of the FBI involvement...and then I thought about how her and Dan needed to be "tested" to make sure she could put up with sex with another man and her scene with Agent Geiger came into play. And then the striptease scene came out long after I had described her surveillance equipment. I was ready to post that chapter when I thought "Hmmm, how would the sound and such be calibrated?" and that led to what turned out to be quite a long scene of her dancing...and why have one set when she could have two? And if two sets, what about a different costume? And then much later I added the scene with the Branch Chief Vogel...none of that would have been written had I caved into the "release it now!" crowd.
I know many of you say "take your time" while still anxious to see the next chapter. There are a few series I feel the same way with from other writers. All I can say is in due time...and good things come to those who wait!

Good News Everbody!

So I've spent a few days working on Lapdancing 05. In essence, I've written about eight Literotica pages (about 60 pages in MS Word), so the story is coming alone nicely. I am only on Wednesday of the story of her week at DSA Corporate Headquarters, so still have Thursday, Friday, and Saturday to write about, but the chapter is well on its way to completion.
I can't hold to an 'end of March' deadline, but it will be very soon. I am seriously debating on splitting the chapter into two parts, mainly because it is already 15 Literotica pages long and there will be at least another 5 or so coming. Some people don't like to read that big of a story...so still debating.
I'm won't be releasing anything until the chapter is completely finished, so it makes no difference on splitting them up in terms of when I will post them, it is mainly for those that cannot read so much at one sitting. If I do split it up (Chapter 05a and Chapter 05b) they will both be released at the same time, so curious what others think. At this point doesn't matter to me, so I'll go with what the majority thinks, LOL.

Slowly getting back into the swing...
Short update, not much to report.
Slowly getting my life back to "normal" after the past couple weeks. Got my 2013 car back from the body shop after an accident. Have somewhat of a plan in place for looking for a new job. Damages to the house are repaired. From those three sentences you can see what I dealt with in one week :(
Been touching on Lapdancing 05 here and there, but nothing really concrete. I now have the complete chapter planned--even a new thought of a scene I hadn't planned! So once I can actually have the mental attitude to sit down and just write, I am hoping to knock out the whole chapter in a day or two. Then I can edit and whatnot and get it up on Literotica.

Thanks all!
I just wanted to write a quick blurb and thank everybody for their sentiments and well wishes for what has been going on in my life, both here and in private e-mails--it is much appreciated.
Although things are not necessarily improving, I have been getting all my ducks in a row so-to-speak in an attempt to staunch everything that has been happening. Right now time will tell if it is for good or not. I have several options available to me so exploring them all...but my attitude is still a bit of a flux between outright depression and trying to move on and keep a positive attitude. We'll see...
Am trying to at least keep busy, and some of that is writing. This weekend hope to try to make a fair attempt at Lapdancing 05, but again, we'll have to see how my attitude with real life versus writing make out together, hehehe.

Real Life sucks...
I haven't had any time to write this past week, so apologize for any updates or lack thereof. It has not been a good week for me. I don't like writing personal stuff online, but the accumulation of bad luck which hit me over the past week has my close friends staying away from me for fear of lightning striking me on a sunny day and them getting caught in the crossfire. This week racks right up there with my wife divorcing me and having to fight for custody and rights to see my kids. Other than one of my parents passing away, I cannot think of anything worse that can happen at this point.
So yeah, it's been one of those weeks. Each time I tried writing, my depression got the better of me and although I wrote maybe an entire page over the weekend, that was obviously not what I wanted or expected as I was honestly hoping to get Lapdancing 05 close to completion. Instead, I spent most of the weekend immersed in games or television trying to get lost in fantasy. Hopefully things will be looking up soon, but it's going to be a steep climb to get out of the slump I'm in.

Weekdays...
Weekdays are usually tough in terms of writing. I get up at 5am, get to work, get home around 5pm (dealing with traffic and whatnot) and by the time I chill out, make supper, and relax, I'm usually too tired to do much more than catch up on emails, various forums I visit, and watch a little television before I go to bed.
Writing is more involved for me, as when I sit down, literally HOURS can pass as I write without me paying attention. Writing on the weekdays I have looked at the clock and seen it is 1am and only had 4 hours of sleep...so I tend not to write on weekdays.
Weekends when I have a day to myself I can usually knock things out and write to my heart's content. That is one of the reasons my chapters come out so far apart. Only able to write weekends (and some weekends devoted to family/friends/other) and the way I write (letting a story sit for a bit and then editing it) causes things to stretch out to the 'months' time frame--and in the case of Annie, years! Its just how I write, and as I do this purely as a hobby (nobody's offered to pay me yet, LOL), I can only do it when the mood hits me and the time is available.
I know a lot of you are anxious for the next chapters of my stories, but due to my limited time, things do take time. I am hoping to have Lapdancing 05 done in the next couple of weekends--which means I am shooting to have it published by the end of the month. Next will be my Skyrim story, but due to how long it takes Literotica to release illustrated stories, I don't foresee it being publicly available until May-ish. And then I will be working on Annie.
Those are not hard-and-fast schedules, as I write with whatever story the mood hits me for. Currently I'm writing a lot for Lapdancing 05, but a few weekends ago it was my up-and-coming Sci-Fi story. So don't hold me to those days, they are fairly arbitrary and loose. I could get a bug up my ass and finish Lapdancing 05 this weekend, who knows!

Full or half a chapter?
So the week was pretty rough in terms of work and being busy. I basically got home, watched a little television, made supper, read up on forums/e-mail, and went to bed...rinsing and repeating all week.
Today (Saturday) I spent the morning working on some graphics--trying to get the "just right" look for Diamond to create some visual scenes from Lapdancing Girlfriend.
Then I started writing...and writing...and more writing!
I have just finished the FIRST DAY of Diamond's visit to Corporate Headquarters and the story is about 7.5 Literotica pages long. I plan on describing her entire week, although this is one of her "busier" days. Tuesday will be pretty descriptive, but little to no sex; Wednesday there will be a bit more sex involved, less general stuff; Thursday currently has no sex involved, but I have just thought of a new twist to the story that may have her being forced into a late night rendezvous, hehehe. Friday and Saturday are both going to be busy days, with plenty of sex and debauchery, although little general stuff.
I'm not certain how long the other days are going to be; however, none of them combined will be as long as what is written so far (Monday). In fact, I have a feeling that all the other days combined will be as big as this currently section (7.5 pages on Literotica).
The big question I always toy with is whether I should split the chapter into two or three sections (05a, 05b, maybe an 05c) such as Chapter 03 with Annie Babysits the Kids, or continue to forge on with Chapter 05 and release it in its entirety--whenever that may be.
I got some pretty rough criticism when I split Annie 03 into portions, and many felt each section was incomplete unless treated as a whole...so there is one problem with splitting them up. It's the fact that I have not intended the chapter to be split up, so it obviously will feel "unfinished." The other end of the spectrum is people will get a chapter out now instead of later, although it does not advance the story as much as I'd like.
I'll have to think about it, but I'm curious to know what everybody thinks. I know many of you had said "take your time, it's worth the wait," but if you had the chance to read what was done so far versus waiting for the whole chapter to be in a logical piece, what would you choose? Leave your comments, as I'm curious.
I am still writing today and tomorrow, so who knows, I might even finish it tomorrow, although that doesn't seem likely, but there is the change. Or it might be done next weekend...hard to say what I'll feel like then. The one thing I CAN say, is the finished chapter is coming sooner rather than later. I'm thinking in the next 2-3 weeks I'll have it done, if not sooner...so again, is it even worth splitting up until the full chapter is finished?
