Updates June 2017

Holy crap, I've let this page slide...almost three months since my last update...

I try to keep my Patreon page updated, and make the posts visible to everybody.  It's only the "Patreon specific" posts I hide, so if you are ever wondering what is going on, that's another place to hit...or just e-mail me.  I routinely get 'so what you working on' e-mails and always reply...some leading in to some interesting discussions, LOL!

Had a request for some images from Lapdancing Girlfriend Chapter 04 which got me to rereading the chapter....and of course, making changes.  It's amazing even after having it reviewed by people the number of mistakes one can find.  One of my goals is to redo Lapdancing completely for publication, so this was a good start.  I've added and changed a bit in the chapter, but nothing major to the plot development.  Mostly have done some minor rewrites of paragraphs so things flow better.

I also have been working on several secondary stories as the mood hits me.  What's in a Name, Extenuating Circumstances, and a new story, Undercovers Assignment have all gotten a fair amount of changes and additions.

In addition, I've finally gotten back in to the swing of Good Girl Gone Badder, the next publication to be released on Amazon.  I had been doing a reread of most of the story, and things are finally getting in place.  Also worked on some new stuff this weekend.  Although I don't like ETA's, I hope to get this story to my two editors for review sometime in July, and pushing for an August release.  Time will tell how much I stay on track, but a year between publications is not too bad for some authors.

I've also worked on quite a few graphics for various stories.  This weekend, to give me some inspiration on describing a particular outfit, I worked on two pieces taken from Good Girl Gone Badder, so here they are for your perusal!

This outfit is from the final scene where Katie goes to the biker bar...so consider it a teaser for everybody!  ;)

Things slowly getting back to normal...

I know I've been quiet these past few months.  The loss of my best friend really took a toll and for a while I had absolutely ZERO inspiration to write.  Sean was my best friend for over 25 years, and his loss is a palpable presence every day I am awake.

I have slowly gotten back in to the swing of things.  Patreon supporters will see I have been updating Grim Fairy Tails quite a bit lately.  I am working on combining all the stories in to a single book release, which is good practice for Lapdancing Girlfriend when I go to tackle that aspect.

Right now I have no idea what's going to get released first...Good Girl Gone Badder (book 2 of my Good Girl Gone Bad series), What's in a Name, Grim Fairy Tales, the next chapter of Lapdancing Girlfriend, or the long-awaited next chapter of Annie Babysits the Kids.  The chapter releases will be on Literotica, while the others are going to be Amazon releases.  It's more of trying to build up steam on one story to sit down and write again.

I've also updated some images on the Patreon site.  I still plan to do some illustration releases, the first looking to being Teddy's Time, which will be sort of a comic-book type release.  I've opened a store on Renderotique (part of the CGBytes group including Renderotica), so that is where I will be publishing the book, as it is "too graphic" for Amazon.  I will probably post all my illustrated books there once I figure out a pricing scheme...they cut for vendors on that site is a bit more than Amazon, so have to price accordingly to try and make up the difference.

I am also looking for an Editor for my book releases.  I will post more on that later, but I am looking for somebody who has a solid grasp on English, is familiar with US American dialects and slang, and is willing to do more than just get a free copy of my stories.  I've looked at professional editors and they will cost over $1000 per book, and considering my Good Girl Gone Bad publication did not even earn half of that, I would not be making any revenue...so looking for somebody who is willing to work cheap as well, LOL!  Again, nothing to add yet, but I will be posting something soon to see if any fans want to take a stab at it before I try somebody probably from Literotica.  I do not have much to offer, but will get you free access to ALL my Patreon shares as some compensation, and if the book does well, possibly some royalties included.  Sean was my editor for Good Girl Gone Bad, and he was going to be my editor for all my books...he did an excellent job and this is the least of what he did in my life to cause me to feel his loss, but it is felt none the less...

So there you go, what I've been doing for the last 3 months wrapped up in to a few short paragraphs.  As usual, always looking for your support...your posts, e-mails, and comments are what drive me to write, and right now, I could use a bit of incentive to get back in to the swing of things...

Ponderings...

Last night I was in a writing mood, but did not know what to write.  Looking for inspiration, I went to Literotica...

I was disappointed.  Every story I tried to read had so many grammar flaws, so many mistakes and incomplete sentences, and what I thought was even worse, disjointed plots and sentences that made the stories unreadable.  It was as if somebody pulled a bunch of sex scenes from a bin and then had a fourth grader add them together to make a story.  Actually, I think a fourth grader's grammar would be better.

This is not the first time I've been disappointed trolling Lit.com...but it was not as apparent as last night when I spent THREE hours going over stories trying to find something that triggered some spark.

Am I alone in thinking stories have been going downhill...or has it always been like this and I never noticed?  People have said they enjoy my writings because they are involved, they are descriptive, and they have plots above the average "this is my hot wife, we had my friend come over and she spread her legs and let him fuck him" type stories.

Have I become too picky and cynical in my writing career that nothing but my own work seems to meet expectations?  I don't think I'm great...I'm not that egotistical, but from what I saw last night, I write a whole lot better than the majority of people who are posting on Lit these days.

Makes me wonder how some of the bad comments I've gotten even arose when there is so much crap already out there, LOL.

Anyways, my 0.02 cents worth...needless to say, found nothing really to light that spark and went to bed frustrated and not having touched any of my stories...hopefully better luck these next few days when I have some quiet and alone time  ;)

Update (finally!) 10/03/2016...

It's been a while since the last update (a month to be precise).  For those who have followed me for some time, you know summers are always bad...both for writing and for updates.  Between family, bumming, vacations, and just the general hub bub, things move slow.

But Fall is now upon us!

This weekend I took a good dent out of Good Girl Gone Badder (GGGB2).  The second book in the series is about 2/3 done, so have passed the halfway point.  I am now on the last "major" scene of the book, so I'm hoping things will be wrapping up on the first final draft this month and I can get it "editorialized" and hopefully have something to publish for November.

In addition, as I needed a break from Katie, I looked through to see what struck my Muse's chords and did some overhaul on What's in a Name...so the higher tiers have that to look through as well.  Not much changed, it was mostly grammar and revising some paragraph structures, but it's a lot "cleaner" than before and hopefully flows better.  Won't be focusing on that story for a while, just needed to clear my head for GGGB2.

I've also updated all the GGGB1 graphics for the various Patreon tiers, so you should see a bit more in terms of teasers for the upcoming illustrated version of GGGB1.  That book will come when it comes, not going to rush it, but it's coming along nicely...

Once I get GGGB2 done and waiting for the editing (which will be done by somebody else), I plan on focusing on Lapdancing 06 and Annie 08.  I'd like to get both done by the end of the year.  I HATE giving out ETA's, so don't hold me by that, but I know Annie has waited longer than most to come out (so much the play list I have for her is out-dated, hehehe), so am trying to get my immediate plate clear to give her some loving (hell, if the story were real-time, she'd be old and grey by now!)  ;)

Again, now that we're in the Fall, that has been historically my most productive times of writing, so hoping you'll see a lot more movement on things, and sorry for the lack of communication this past month!

Thank you!

I want to thank the people who have commented on my book on Amazon!  As a result, there have been an overall increase in sales as well as rankings (I've been in the top 500 for Erotic Romance all week).

I know a few people have said getting comments was going to be difficult, as well as a few pointing out studies showing people are more likely to comment on BAD things as opposed to GOOD things...so the half dozen or so ratings and comments I've received (all five-stars by the way, so thank you again) have definitely influenced others in to buying the book.  Hopefully that will have a snowball effect leading to additional people coming here on the blog as well as the Patreon site.

A few people have also commented on their disappointment my focus has turned more towards making money versus posting free stories...and I wanted to comment on that for a moment.

First of all...this blog, the Patreon site, and now the published book have all been at recommendations of you, my fans.  None of this would have been possible without you, not only through your support, but by your recommendations.  I still plan on posting stories on Literotica.com and work on all the stories/series posted there--while also making "book" versions of those very same stories.

My focus has not been as much as making money, but by exploring the various options of distributing my stories and diving head-long in to it.  If I do something, such as publishing a book, then I want to do it right.  Nobody wants to fail, so if I see sales declining--even during such a short period of time--and ask for comments, it is less about how much I will see in royalties than where the book has ranked, what people are saying about it, and how I can improve its circulation.  At least for a while, anything I make from the books--like it has been on the Patreon site--will go towards feeding additional stories and graphical content.  I am looking at sales as simply another way to determine "success" of the book.  It's less about trying to make a quick buck and more simply by trying to succeed.

But again, I do plan on continuing posting to Literotica, while also promoting the books and such.  As you know, I have troubles writing more than one or two stories at a time without cross pollinating them, so this summer, it was focusing on the publishing aspect.  Once I get the other books done, it will be towards Lapdancing and Annie and posting chapters on Literotica.  I doubt it will ever be a continuous growth on all aspects at once, so simply ask for your patience  ;)

What's DocCIS been up to this past month?

This may be one of my longer posts, so hope you all bear with me…it’s been a while since I posted an update, and have a LOT to cover!

Ever since I started this “journey” writing erotica 20+ years ago I have believed in transparency, even if it was not beneficial to myself. Whether it was a delay in an ETA of a story’s release, a change in focus from one story to another, or something entirely different, I have wanted to keep you, the fans, informed.

Over the years, as things have evolved, much of what I do has been in response to you, the fans. I have always promoted discussing and listening to your suggestions, taking many to heart. A core of you do this regularly, exchanging ideas and suggestions via e-mail concerning story directions, focus, and offerings on Patreon, and hope that will continue. Some of you just want to chat, which is fantastic. I definitely want such interactions and feedback to continue!

I have reached another milestone in my ‘writing hobby-slowly-turning-career’ and wanted to share my thoughts and dreams, my hopes and aspirations. ;)

The very first milestone I ever undertook was making my writings public. That was a huge first step, placing my twisted perversions out on the ‘internet’ for anybody to rip apart. After a few years of posting on USENET and the Alt.Sex.Stories boards, I moved to a more formalized posting on Literotica. Eventually, based upon comments from Literotica, I formed my blog in order to keep everybody up to date. And recently, latest expansion into this world—which to my surprise has hit off fairly well—is my Patreon site.

All of these changes/additions have been at the suggestions of fans, many who have been with me for many, many years! For that, I thank you, and for those that support me through Patreon, you have even greater thanks! Patreon has definitely given me more incentive to put time aside to write, whereas before I could go for MONTHS without doing so.

Since then—even before Patreon—people have suggested publishing my stories. At first I was reluctant, because I did not know if I had anything to offer that was not offered on Literotica. But after all the input by other people, I am moving to a new era—self-publishing my stories. I have decided is YES, I will be self-publishing my stories.

So here has been what has been going on this past month…

First I have been doing a LOT of research…talking with other people who self-publish (both ‘regular’ books as well as erotica), reading online posts and forums, and pouring through the various publishing sites on how to submit, what they offer, and any rules/restrictions they may impose.

My initial foray will be through Amazon. Their Kindle Direct Publishing program is the easiest and quickest way to get something published. I don’t have to deal with purchasing ISBN numbers for each version of a book—Amazon has their own internal number they assign, and other things like that which make it ‘easy’ to self-publish. Even the formatting, for the most part, is much easier, as there are tools specifically created for their publications.

The first book I will be releasing will be a revised version of Good Girl Gone Bad, slightly different from what had been posted on Patreon. It is undergoing a final edit by a few friends privy to my erotica tendencies, LOL.

My plan is to release both a text-only version, and for those who are interested, an illustrated version. Good Girl will be a three-story set—Good Girl Gone Bad, Good Girl Gone Badder, and Good Girl Gone Baddest. ;) I am expecting the first book release to occur sometime towards the end of summer (I’m only about 25% in to the 3D images and want to release both together), and hopefully release a book each month.

What this means is the next chapters of other stories—Lapdancing Girlfriend, Annie Babysits the Kids, and other miscellaneous stories—will be temporarily on hold until those are completed. My goal is to eventually self-publish those stories as well, but they need a more involved rewrite to make them “book” compatible. For example, many story chapters have a several page blurb on what occurred before, which I had done due to the timespan between releases. In a book format all that rehash is unnecessary. Also, over the years many of you have pointed out discrepancies or questions needing to be answered which would “flesh out” the story more, so those will also be updated.

Due to the additional aspect of self-publishing, I will be changing around the Patreon rewards (some of you may have already noticed some folder name changes) to include the self-published material. I want the rewards to be commensurate with the support, but rest assured—nothing will be REMOVED from the rewards, I will only be adding additional ones.

For example, I am thinking for Tier 1 will provide “deleted scenes” from the illustrated versions of the books which may have been removed for one reason or another and did not make the final cut for the illustrated version. In some cases images may be too similar or redundant others I rendered, others may not be needed to move the story forward, etc. As everybody who is a supporter has access to the Tier 1 folders, people might be more interested in getting the full book or a higher Tier of support ;)

Tier 2 I am thinking to provide DRAFT versions or proof-of-concept images as well as the draft versions of stories I am working on to publish. This will give people a good idea of the storyline, as well as how the whole writing process develops.

My idea for Tier 3 is to offer the text version of a self-published story FREE as a show of thanks for support, while Tier 4 will make ALL self-published stories—both the illustrated and text versions available.

If anybody has other suggestions or changes, let me know! I want the amount of support you provide me to have a valuable return in investment, so speak up!

Anyways, that is what has been going on!

What to do...what to do...

As I mentioned in my last post, I'm doing the final edits to Good Girl Gone Bad.  I'm about 50% through with it, but what has slowed me down is I have also been creating rendered 3D images for the story.

Lapdancing Girlfriend Ch. 06 will be coming in late April/early May once I'm done with Good Girl.

There has been some push to "publish" my stories...not just posting to Literotica, but actually posting the stories for people to purchase through an e-reader or PDF file.  I know an up-and-coming Tier 7 Patreon patron is going to pledge for a couple months to rewrite a publishable version of Lapdancing Girlfriend (or fund another story to be published, still working out the details), so it's definitely on the horizon.

Right now I'm simply working out the specifics, so if anybody has any experience with self-publishing (whether it be images or stories or whatever) their works, please drop me an e-mail!  I have been leery of it mainly because it is something new and something I know NOTHING about, LOL...so any advice would be appreciated.

The question is whether I should post Good Girl Gone Bad on Literotica or not before I publish (text version only).  Right now, it is a "Patreon exclusive" in that only Patreon subscribers (Tier 2 and above, soon to be Tier 1!) could access it.  It has gotten positive responses from my Patreon Patrons (thank you!) but curious what people thing if I start self-publishing.  For Good Girl I would post both a text-only and an illustrated version (text version cheaper of course).  If I post it on Literotica, it would probably be the illustrated version only, although several authors have posted their works on Literotica and then self-published the same works, I feel what was offered for free should remain so...

So give me your thoughts, opinions, and advice!

Update 10/18/2105...

So the bottom line with my computer is it is either the CPU or the motherboard is fried.  Either way, it pretty much means a new computer.  I've been meaning to upgrade my video cards--that's actually one of the goals of my Patreon page.  However, that being said, all the money will now be going towards a new system.

Pricing out what I want, which is not high end but is better than what I had in order to do my 3D graphics, I'm looking around $2500.  I don't HAVE that much money right now, hehehe, so it may take up through next year to get it, but that's my new goal.  I'll be changing my Patreon page to that particular goal as well.

I spent all day Saturday trying to get my computer working, and after swapping out memory, power supplies, video cards, etc., I was able to narrow it down to either the CPU or motherboard.  Not sure exactly how I FUBAR'd up, but something didn't go back the way it was when I started cleanings things up last week, and now I'm paying for it.  It's nothing I haven't done a 1000 times before, but this was why I stopped building my own systems, I troubleshoot servers and people's computers all week, the last thing I want to do is work on my own  :(

I'm running off my laptop now.  I've moved it and connected my monitor, mouse, and keyboard in my home office, so things at least 'feel' close to normal.  The screen is a bit fuzzy due to a craptastic video card, but it can't be helped.  At least I'll be able to start writing once again.  And now that I'm back connected to my network, I can get back to things.

One that front, I woke up Friday morning at 2 am with an idea, and sat down and wrote until it was time for work, so there will be a new story hitting the "Secondary Story" slot replacing "What's in a Name."  Again, the secondary story is something I'll dabble with when I only have an hour or less to write, but lately that seems to be the way things have been, so the secondary story has gotten quite a bit of attention.

This new story still needs a title, but currently the working title is "Good Girl Gone Bad."  It's about a couple who's been together for 5 years and start to realize things are becoming too mundane in their relationship.  They plan on moving in together to try and spice up their life, and while moving, the boyfriend starts to have fantasies about his girlfriend fooling around with other men.  Surprised at his reaction, and turned on by it herself, she teases his friends who are helping him move, one of which is a jock type (sort of a young Mr. DeWight, hehehe).

I've almost been tempted to make this an "early Lapdancing Girlfriend" story, but right now it's a separate story standing on its own merit.  Time will tell what I do with it.  If I DO make this sort of an "early Lapdancing" story, I'll have to change things around a bit for both this and Lapdancing Girlfriend so they synch up better...but again, that's only a remote possibility.

Anyways, that's what's going on this week.  Now that things are somewhat back to normal, my plan is to focus on Lifeguard again and try to get it down by Thanksgiving.  We'll see how work and real life go...but since 3D graphics are now out of the picture (no pun intended) for a bit, all I have is the writing...

Patreon Dropbox permissions updated for October

First, thank you EVERYBODY for your Patreon patronage!  It has meant a lot and although I cannot account for real life issues interfering with writing, I have had added incentive through everybody's support!

I've updated the Dropbox folders based upon October's support tiers, so apologize for the additional spam of getting access to all the folders, but the easiest way is to simply remove all access and re-add everybody based upon their tiers.  It helps me sort out those who raised/lower or even dropped/added their support over the last month.

Let me know if you cannot access a folder that you think you should!

And again, thank you!

Patreon patron rewards changes...

It only takes one person to abuse a system before things have to change and make it difficult for everybody…  :(

The way the Patreon system works is when a pledge with money occurs towards a tier, you are automatically added to that tier and have access to posts unavailable to lower tiers; however, that being said, Patreon billing does not occur until the first of the month.  So in the time leading up to the billing period, one can feasibly change their Tier to a higher paid model, gain access to higher level content, and before the billing period occurs, lower their pledge so they are billed for a lower tier.

Basically they are “working the system” and getting access to content they never intended paying for.

For example: I can pledge as a Tier 1 patron and gain general access to all of my stories.  Then I can go and raise my bid to a Tier 3 patron.  The Patreon system flags me as a Tier 3 patron—even before being billed for that tier—and so I have access to the post with the link to content of a Tier 3 person (rough draft access of both Primary and Secondary stories).  After I obtain that content I can change back to a Tier 1 patron or drop my patronage altogether before the billing cycle and not have a pay anything for the additional content.

Somebody has already done this, as I saw them pledge a lower tier, raise it for 20 minutes (and gain access to the higher tier), and then lower their tier so they are not billed for the higher content.  This is why I haven’t posted anything “new” these past 2 weeks (although I HAVE been working on stuff).

This first month was basically based upon the honor system--although I hinted I may have to change things.  I foresaw this happening eventually, just did not think it would happen the first month!

Reaching the first of my “Goals,” using the money and upgrade my Dropbox account, allows me to set permissions based upon E-MAIL address instead of leaving the folder open for anybody with the link.

So I will be making two changes:
  1. The first change is what I’ve already stated.  I have locked down the Dropbox folders such that you will need to sign into Dropbox with the e-mail you used to sign up for Patreon.  Dropbox is free, so everybody will simply have to type in their e-mail address to log into their free Dropbox account to have access to the appropriate folders.  This allows me to set up folders per the individual and not leave them wide open.
  2. The second change is I will be only granting access to content AFTER the payment period the first of the month.  This is unfortunately due to the above abuse scenario.  Until I know a person is going to follow through with their patronage and not change it at the last minute for free content, I have to wait until people are billed to have access to the higher tier.  This unfortunately limits anybody who legitimately signs up for an upper tier to create a delay in content access, but I will at least open up Tier 1 content for them, as it has already been posted.  Once Patreon has billed you for your pledge, I will grant access for the full month following.

***This does NOT apply to Tier 7 or $100.00 or more patrons, as Patreon immediately bills for amounts this high and higher, so they will be granted access as soon as I can give them!

I apologize for these changes, as it seems to penalize people legitimately pledging in good faith for additional content, but as they say, one bad apple…   :(

Extenuating Circumstances Ch. 01 Part 2 - SUBMITTED!

WHAT?  Inconceivable!  Two DocCIS releases in one week...

As I mentioned, the second and third parts of EC01 are shorter than the first part.  For those waiting for sex...this is where it begins in more ways than one!

This part only went to seven pages on Literotica...but it's packed with more 'action' than the first part  ;)

ALL Patreon Patrons have access to the early release now in the "Final Stories" Dropbox link.  In addition, Tier 3 Patreon Patrons now have access to Part 3's rough draft!

I am hoping to have the third part out within this coming week.  My goal is to get all of Extenuating Circumstances Ch. 01 released before September when my main focus is upon the Tier 7 Patreon patron's goal which is Lifeguard Gets Wet.  These last two weeks of August are the only time I'll have to 'catch up' and get those three parts completed before I devote all my time to that.

Holy Overlord 2...TWO Tier 7 Patrons?!?!?!

This is apparently a glitch in the Patreon system.  Although you can set the number of patrons for a particular tier, it does not mean people cannot donate that amount to you anyways.  So although there was already one person amazingly generous to donate a Tier 7 slot, somebody else has also graciously donated!

As the Tier 7 is devoting a full month's time to the individual, I had it set for one slot...but again, anybody can donate anything.  So what I am going to do is "bank" the other peron's Tier 7 slot.  Even if/when they lower their pledge or even cancel, I will still owe them a full month's time and personalized story.

So do not think you are not going to get everything the Tier promises!  I am simply booked now for the next TWO MONTHS (or more) for each of you, hehehe  ;)

And THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!

Holy Overlord! Tier 7 Patron!

To both surprise and a deep sense of humbleness, there is a Tier 7 patron out there!  Although I appreciate everybody down to the single dollar donations, this was an achievement I was not expecting so soon after setting up my Patreon site!

THANK YOU!

What this means is they are the taskmaster and slave-driver to me...my physical Muse.  They are the puppetmaster to my strings, LOL.

As such, I will be devoting my time towards their particular story...which happens to be Lifeguard Gets Wet...so my primary focus doesn't necessarily change; however, what DOES change is I'll be spending less time on other stories as long as they are willing to spend that amount of money. I still have EC0102 and EC0103 in final draft form, and if I have only minimal time to write, I'll review and edit those on the side, but whenever I have more than an hour to devote towards writing, Lifeguard gets me focus.

Again, appreciate everybody who has pledged donations...but this was something completely unexpected!  Thanks again!

Extenuating Circumstances Ch. 01 Part 1 - APPROVED

My Extenuating Circumstances story (Ch. 01A) has been approved and can now be read by everybody on Literotica!

It was approved a lot faster than I imagined, but as I said, typically with authors who have posted before, they are pretty lenient when they know you are not posting a bunch of gibberish  ;)

I'll be reviewing Ch. 01B this week when I have time, and then the weekend will be devoted to Lifeguard Gets Wet (speaking of which, look to the right for teaser images!).

Again I want to thank everybody for their support on Patreon and even those who cannot support, I am very appreciative of all your support and comments!

As an additional note, I started a new "short" story that is mostly a graphical story and not something I'll post on Literotica...but I'll say more on that when I have things a bit more figured out  ;)

THANK YOU! Thank You, thank you, thank you!

I wanted to post a big THANK YOU to all of those who signed up this first weekend of my Patreon site.  I am actually humbled at seeing people willing to support me.

I am not one to "beg" for money, but that you all are enough fans you are willing to provide me incentive is incredible, and something I never expected!  I've cleared the first two goals, and once the back end stuff is done, I'll be setting up a more manageable way to access your rewards, but for now, you should be able to see the shares and links on the site!

Although people have been suggesting this for a while now, I still did not believe anybody would sign up, and again, you have my utmost gratitude, and I hope I can meet your new expectations. Finishing up Extenuating Circumstances 0101 is hopefully just the beginning, as I now have additional incentive in the way of guilt to provide you with stories and content on a regular basis!  ;)

To those who already signed up, and to those who are planning on it, again, THANK YOU!

By popular demand...you can now support me on Patreon!

After discussing this with with a couple people on this site, as well as several others within the 3D art community, I have decided to open a Patreon site:  http://www.patreon.com/doccis

Cropped Teaser image of possible Diamond image...full image available to Patrons!
Below is a list of questions I had when looking into the program that hopefully will answer some of your own question if you are not familiar with Patreon.  If you have any additional questions, ask me here or on my Patreon site and I'll try to answer as best I can.

What is Patreon?
Patreon is sort of like a GoFundMe or Kickstarter program, where you pledge money towards an artist, creator, etc. in helping them continue their work.  Unlike the other types of "donation" sites, Patreon allows me to set up tiers whereby you receive additional perks for various donations of money donated towards my writing and graphics.
Here's a good intro video that explains it better:

I don't want to be billed month to month, can I pay one lump sum?
From what I understand, you can pay a lump sum up front, pledge for a month and then cancel your month-to-month membership, or you can break down your lump sum into incremental payments.
For the last scenario, when you offer your patronage you are given the option of not exceeding "x" number of dollars, so if you want to spent $5.00 total, you can either sign up for the $5.00 tier for one month and cancel your patronage, or sign up for the $1.00 tier and it will go until you reach the $5.00 limit, allowing you to receive five months worth of the Tier 1 perks.  The choice is yours.
Can I change tiers of patronage?
YES!  If you want to sign up for one of the higher tiers for one particular reward, you can then lower your tiered support or completely cancel your patronage after that first month, that is completely up to you.
I have made the rewards "retroactive" such that you will still be entitled to the upper tier reward you earned by supporting me for even one month, so that reward shall be made available to you regardless of only supporting that specific tier one month or more.  So for example if you donated for the $25.00 tier one month and lowered to the $1.00 tier the following month, you are still entitled to the one scene/customized section of the story from that first month...even if the story takes longer.
 WHY am I doing this?
I hate begging for money, but if you look through previous blog posts, several people have suggested me setting this up in order to offer incentives and simple monetary "thank you's" for my stories.  As this is purely a hobby for me, actually paying me to complete stories puts more incentive on me--I already feel bad taking long for many stories, so actually taking money for them raises my guilty consciousnesses to a whole new level, LOL!  In addition, this will help pay for some of the graphical content I wish to use in the illustrated version of my stories and pay for any publication costs.
What are the various tiers?
Although these may change over time based upon feedback and whatnot, I've tried to make the rewards commensurate with the amount of money people are donating.  As this is a financial investment for yourself, as well as for me, I will be attempting to provide more information and support that what I otherwise provide here on this (free) blog.
Also one thing to point out is each higher tier is cumulative, meaning you get all the lower tier rewards/perks as well...so a Tier 3 patron will get not only the Tier 3 reward, but also those offered to Tier 2 and Tier 1 patrons.
More information can be found on the Patreon site, but here are the basics:
  • Tier 1 ($1.00/month) - Patron-only access to story teasers, images, and other information not posted on this site.  As I mentioned above, here the level of effort is whenever I can post...but for paying patrons, I will offer additional time and effort to make sure you are kept up-to-date as much as possible!
  • Tier 2 ($5.00/month) - Patrons pledging a minimum of $5.00/month will have access to the ongoing rough draft of whatever story I am currently working on. This gives you an early 'sneak peak' into the stories and images as they unfold, prior to editing and release...as well as the above mentioned Tier 1 early sneak previews.
  • Tier 3 ($10.00/month) - Patrons pledging a minimum of $10.00/month get all the lower tiered Patreon rewards with additional access to the not only the ongoing rough drafts but the rough draft of whatever I am also working on with that...so they get a glimpse of TWO rough draft stories!   In addition, Tier 3 support patrons will have access to any 3D graphics I make for ANY of my stories (published and unpublished).
  • Tier 4 ($25.00/month) - Patrons willing to support me at the $25.00/month level--besides earning my eternal gratitude--get all the previous perks mentioned for the other first three tiers but also a little special something...For those supporting me at this amount level, each month you support me for this tier I will work with you on incorporating any particular aspect/scene/clothing or whatever you would like to see into a story.  This is a chance to personalize a story for yourself.  Help me write the story to cater to your tastes!
  • Tier 5 ($30.00/month) - For only $5.00 more a month compared to the Tier 4 Supporter, this tier not only gets the previous tiers rewards (including a dedicated scene/outfit/etc.), but will also be entitled to a personalized 3D artwork commission for each month they are a subscriber.
  • Tier 6 ($50.00/month) - If somebody is really this much a fan, then I bow to you.  You are my muse...and as such, I will devote each month you are a Tier 6 supporter to whatever story you want me to focus on for (hopefully) a speedier release than my own lackadaisical schedule  ;)  Don't like that Annie Ch. 08 has yet to see the light of day after over a year?  This is your chance to make me put my nose to the grindstone and get it out quicker!  In addition, you get a FREE copy of the illustrated version upon release!
  • Tier 7 ($100.00/month) - This is the penultimate tier.  Not only will you be awarded all the previous tier perks, but you are now my master  ;)  Have an idea you want me to create a story based upon?  This is your chance.  For even a one month patronage of this amount I will envision, outline, and write a story based upon your direction.  This is basically commissioning me to do a story at your direction...above and beyond the other tiers.
Let me know what you think...and I'll start off by thanking any of you who offer their patronage, even as a one-time donation!

Update 05/20/2015...

Not much to update.  My internet, TV, and phone all went dead Saturday night...so was pretty much out of pocket until Monday afternoon.  It's amazing how helpless one feels at only 2 days of down communications, LOL.  I realized things are way too interconnected with the internet!

I got some rewriting of Lifeguard Gets Wet.  Sunday tried opening it up and got a bunch of errors about not being able to connect online, not updating my last update, and all sorts of crap that I actually was scared the damn thing got lost.  Luckily when I logged into my tablet I could see everything (used my phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot) so it was something silly with my cloud drive and unable to connect.  Again, damn internet dependency.  I decided I didn't want to screw anything up so ended up closing it and leaving it...  :/

This weekend going to be out of town...son is graduating, and then moving up here.  Going to be a major change in my life.  Have been living single for almost 12 years...and although the kids have been up to visit and whatnot, this is somewhat permanent.  Gives me a chance to talk him into college though...he wants to take a year off, which is fine, but I'm only hoping it's only a year.

I'm hoping to have some time to write though.  Locked up in a hotel room for most of the weekend, doubt there will be a lot to do in the outskirts of south Georgia, hehehe.

Did receive another "irate" anonymous comment.  They stated I have a pathological issue with finishing anything, since all my stories are awaiting updates and I haven't posted anything in over a year.  Again, to reiterate, this is a HOBBY.  Considering I work 6 am to almost 6pm Monday through Friday, I don't have time nor the desire to write on weekdays, so that only leaves weekends.  And there is more to my life than writing stories...which, again, is a HOBBY.  So if I'm not in the mood, I don't write.  If family is visiting, I don't write.  If I have car problems, house problems, or any other type of real life issue, chances are, I'm not going to be writing.  Hell, the internet, TV, and phone were down this weekend and writing got tabled.  I can understand fans want to see the next chapter of their story.  But it's a HOBBY.

Right now, my focus is on Lifeguard Gets Wet, because it is a PAID commission.  I will be getting money out of it.  But even then, I'm limited to weekends and my various moods.  My full-time, six-figured paying job is NOT writing, so until somebody starts offering to sending me regular PayPal installments, you'll just have to live with my capricious whims of fancy...  :p

Update 05/11/2015

I have had an odd sort of writer's block these past few weeks.  As I've mentioned, I'm working on Lifeguard Gets Wet; however, I was at a point where although I knew what I wanted to write next, I could not get past the last several pages I already wrote.  Something just felt "off" but I couldn't place it.

I actually deleted and rewrote an entire section...and surprisingly, it was almost the same...and yet, it was different.  Then this past weekend it was like a veil was lifted...and spent all weekend rewriting the same section and FINALLY reached a point where I was happy with it.  It was like a door opened and I can finally walk through it.

Hard to explain unless you read the previous version...there was nothing necessarily "wrong" with what I wrote, but it just didn't sit well.  And now, I actually FEEL the character again...and almost got too excited to continue, LOL.

So now feel comfortable continuing the story...it just feels right now.

Hard to explain, it wasn't necessarily writer's block, but I definitely was obsessing over that section, and finally feel like I can move on.

Anyways, that's where I've been lately, and now I feel almost liberated that this section now feels "right" to me...

Update, News, and shift in priorities...

I haven't posted in a while, but a lot of things have been happening on the backend of real life and I wanted to share a couple of them.

First and foremost, I still plan to release the last few teasers this week.  I don't have an ETA but I want them all done and posted by the end of the weekend, so keep an eye out on that.

Secondly, one of the reasons I've been busy has been my 3D Graphics obsession/hobby.  I know many of you have privately contacted me on my FB name to see my work, and appreciate all the kind comments.  Apparently the work has not been in vain because I have been contacted by a 3D Graphics promotional group to join them.  It is not a monetary position, but I work on commissions in terms of getting the products I use in my images for free by the vendors.  They pay the group to create images advertising and spotlighting their works, give us their items, and we make the images.  They are then advertised all over the interwebz for that product.

I'm very excited.  One of my major stipulations was I did not want this to become a "job" and be pressured into making content.  I have seen way too many artists do this very same thing and suddenly they disappear from the art scene because all they are doing are promo images.  And as time goes by, their artwork dwindles to exactly the same thing over and over and over falling into a rut doing just promos instead of actual art.  This group is not pressuring me, and even if I only produce one piece a month they will be happy...so I'm looking forward not only to the work, but the actual exposure such advertising will bring!

Finally some other exciting news in the terms of erotica.  As many of you know who have stayed with me all this time, one of my goals is eventually to illustrate my stories and sell them online.  Imagine an illustrated version of Lapdancing Girlfriend where you yourself can see my version of Diamond battling Mr. DeWight for her sexual domination?  Much of it has been a factor of time, incentive, and plain ignorance at how to go about that type of thing.

Well, the first step in that journey has begun!  One of my stories is going to be illustrated!  I have been contacted by an artist (I'll leave their identity unkown unless they want to announce it) to put to image one of my stories.  Oddly, it is not one of my well-known works, but actually one of my "yet to be finished" stories--they have read the teaser and are extremely interested in putting to comic/storybook Lifeguard Gets Wet, as well as the possibility of other chapters in that storyline.

So as I mentioned in the title, my priorities are shifting slightly.  I will be working mostly on Lifeguard to get the story out by May.  I know, I know, everybody who knows me is screaming "OMG, he said he would never give an ETA and set a date for a release again!"  LOL.  I burned myself out on Lapdancing 05 as many of you know trying to get it out at a specific time, and this is the same type of thing.  But the difference here is I will be paid for the work...money talks, hehehe.

So this past weekend and the upcoming weekends I will be working on the story of Penny, the young rich Southern belle who gets caught up in downtown Atlanta lifeguarding for the common man.

This is not simply an illustration of the story, like what I did with George Taskers Brandi Vavoom story, this will be putting the entire chapter into a storyboard/comic type presentation, so it can stand on its own as an illustrated story.  I am basically the plot-writer, and although will have some input on the scenes and such, once everything is done, the illustrations will belong to the artist to post where and how he wants.

One of the biggest things this will accomplish is getting my work known to another audience.  If people like the storyboard so much, they'll hopefully go and read the actual story.  And if they like that, they will read others.  The more the merrier.

The other thing this will do is get my head wrapped around actually moving forward with my illustration idea.  I hope the set timeline will get me more used to deadlines, as well as getting more stories out quicker.  I know last year was a disappointment to people in that I published NOTHING.  This year I promise will be different...and the first published story I will do will become Lifeguard.

That does not mean I won't be working on my other stories.  I always need a bit of change in writing so will undoubtedly work on my three main stories still on my agenda:  Lapdancing 06, Extenuating Circumstances, and What's in a Name.  Following that, Annie will get some long-overdue love.  That will be hopefully FIVE releases this year, and hopefully more...but we'll see.

Anyways, I am really excited to enter this partnership and promise good things to come!  Stay tuned for further information, as well as the remaining teasers that are long overdue!

Follow the Muse....

This weekend was one of the most productive weekends I've had in a while writing-wise.  I spent ALL DAY Sunday writing, and writing, and writing.

It wasn't Lapdancing Girlfriend, it wasn't even Extenuating Circumstances, LOL.  For some reason I woke up at 3am with an idea and scene in my head for What's in a Name and HAD to get out of bed, go down to the computer, and start writing, even before my first cup of coffee!  And then I spent all day working on it.

It was some MAJOR progress, but nothing I had planned on working on.  Sometimes I just have to go with the flow and follow my Muse.

It was actually therapeutic.  I spent the ENTIRE day writing, times when I was searching out music, then incorporating that into the story, and then more and more writing.  I went through 2 bottles of wine and about 3 pots of coffee...finally quitting around 11pm...so all said and told put around 20 hours.  As I said, very productive, just nothing I had planned or what anybody is expecting.

The reason this post is coming on a Wednesday and not earlier is I started thinking WHY I enjoyed writing this weekend so much.  Lately it's almost been a subconscious act to find something else to do so I wouldn't have time to write.

As I thought back, the last time I had such a relaxing binge of writing was back in JUNE of this year.  Since that time I've been so focused on getting Lapdancing Girlfriend 06 out, or Extenuating Circumstances 0101-0103 out, the writing has been more of a job or chore, and not the original reason I started writing Annie Babysits the kids almost twenty years ago.

I do it to relax, to escape from the day-to-day grind, from worrying about money, or kids, or whatever.

For the first time in months I ENJOYED writing again...and had almost forgotten how gratifying, relaxing, and therapeutic it was.

It is not that I'm changing gears or plans or anything, but I need to get back to my roots...to where writing was fun again.  This coming weekend I'm not going to PLAN on writing on any particular story...I'm just going to go with the flow.  If it turns out to be Lapdancing 06, fantastic; if it turns out to be EC01...again, great.  But if it turns out to be Annie, Dreams, Grim Fairy Tales, Lifeguard, or any other of my currently outstanding stories...or even *gasp* a new story...I'm not going to mind.  I'm going to write and ENJOY it, not feel like it's an obligation I have to do.

I had almost forgotten how nice it was...so yeah, I'll be writing.  What it will be, dunno...but I will guarantee it's going to be good  ;)
